A Nod to
NOËL PATON

Call for local Dunfermline businesses
to get involved!
This Autumn is the 200th birthday celebration of the Dunfermline artist Noël Paton.
Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries (DCLG), Wooers’ Alley Garden and other venues will be running exhibitions and events around the city.
Noël Paton was famous for painting ancient Dunfermline Kings, Queens and fairies - and designing the Dunfermline Abbey windows, which is where you come in!
We are asking local businesses to support us by theming your window displays ‘with a nod to Noël Paton’, from September til December 2024, and make a small donation to the Patons of Dunfermline charity. You can be as creative as you like, with ancient royal & fairy themed fashion, books, household goods - and even cakes, cocktails, tattoos and haircuts! All proceeds will go to the Wooers’ Alley Project - the lost Dunfermline garden which inspired Noël Paton’s greatest paintings, currently being restored by volunteers for community use.
To register:
1: Please fill out the registration form below.
2: Donate a minimum of £20 to Wooers' Alley via Paypal.me/wooersalley
3: Share pictures of your windows on Instagram & Facebook with the hashtag #nod2noelpaton

NB: To avoid copyright infringement, please do not use copies of Noël Paton's work in your displays - it is best to use decorations and themes which capture the spirit and style of his work with a modern interpretation (see examples shown).

THANK YOU!
